The Presbytery Meeting will begin at 3:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Our newly-elected pastor, Dr. William Pender, will be received into the Presbytery of East Tennessee at this time. Dr. Pender will be driving to Knoxville from Montreat and returning to Montreat immediately following the meeting, therefore, there will not be the opportunity to meet him on the 21st, but your support for him by your attendance will be appreciated.

Chapel Worship: Font & Table with Communion is conducted at 8:45 a.m. This service features musical variety and will include the musical talents of all performing ensembles of the church. This service is designed to actively engage all ages in worship while maintaining an integrity to worship that is part of our reformed heritage. Communion will be observed weekly and the liturgy will revolve around the two sacraments of our church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. All people are welcome to join us for this engaging and intimate morning worship. Childcare is provided for Preschoolers, toddlers, and infants.

What: First Presbyterian Church will host the spiritual retreat for the Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of East Tennessee. The speaker will be Lina Robinson Hart, the Associate Executive Presbyter of our presbytery, speaking n the “Spirituality of Martha.” There will be a lecture, followed by group discussions, a lunch ($8 per person), and finally a worship service with communion to complete the day. All women of the church are encouraged to attend and help host this event as we are expecting over 100 women in attendance. Pre-registration is required, so please put this important event on your calendar now.
