Maundy Thursday Service

communion elementsWhat: From the Middle-English (Maundy) meaning “command,” this service of scripture readings and special music celebrates the last meal of Christ with his disciples and share in the sacrament of communion. It is also when we remember Christ’s new commandment, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)footwashing

Childcare: For preschool children and younger in the PDO classrooms and the nursery.

Presbyterian Women’s Knitting Group

The Presbyterian Women, with organizers Lucie Polk and Gray Roberts, formed a group to knit items to be given to senior citizens and infants. If you knit, or would like to learn how, and are interested in participating in this service project, please contact Lucie at 249-6275 or Gray at 584-2939 for more information. knitting-group.jpg

The knitting group meets:

-The second Thursday of the month from 10:00-noon

-The Sunday meetings have been suspended for the summer months.

-The third Tuesday of the month from 10:00-noon

All of these meetings will be held in the library.

Parents’ Night Out

What: Parents’ Night Out (PNO) is held on the second Friday of every month starting at 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Please make your reservations with Colleen Manrod, 705-9534, by Tuesday of that week.  THERE IS NOT PNO FOR JANUARY OR JULY.

The rates are as follows:

$25 One Child

$35 Two Children

$40 Three Children

Half off any of these rates for church members attending a First Fellowship meal.

Voluntary dinner provided to the child(ren) for $2.50 per child. Please request dinner when you RSVP.
