Congregational Retreat 2010

The 2010 retreat will be held April 16 – 18 (please click the previous link for more information as it becomes available).

The congregation at First Presbyterian Church will travel to Fall Creek Falls State Park for worship, spiritual renewal, and relaxation. Programs are offered for all ages in this beautiful mountain setting. Our speaker will be Christine Yoder from Columbia Seminary. The weekend is always highlighted by fun (paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, horseback riding, golf, swimming), fellowship (Friday night bonfire with music and smores, Saturday evening buffet dinner and musical entertainment), and some great, informal CE programming for all ages.

If you are unable to provide your own transportation, Debbie and Jimmy Jones have offered to drive the church van to the retreat. Please call the church office at 546-2531 if you need assistance.

March 10 (12:10pm), 2010 – Special Lenten Luncheon

April4 (9:00am), 2010 – Catered Easter Celebration Fellowship Breakfast

April 25 (12:15pm), 2010 – Catered Meal for Rossini Festival

May 9 (12:15pm), 2010 – Mother’s Day

June 7-11 (5:00pm), 2010 – In conjunction with VBS TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

July, 2010 – No meals

August 22 (9:30am), 2010 – Rally Day brunch before 11:00am service

September 19 (12:15pm), 2010 – Catered

October 17 (12:15pm), 2010 – Catered

November 14 (12:15pm), 2010 – Catered

December 19 (6:00pm), 2010 – Dinner after Annual Christmas Pageant

January 5 (12:15pm), 2011 – Catered

Cost: $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for elementary children, Free for preschool and younger

Children & Worship

The Wednesday night children’s program is a holistic approach, integrating body, mind, spirit, and voice, through the study of hymns, liturgy, scripture, music theory/fundamentals, art, and fellowship through organized recreation. This year, the children are divided into three groups: 1) Kindergarteners and First Grade and 2) Second and Third Grades, and 3) Fourth & Fifth grades. As part of our Covenant Choir ministry the children have the opportunity to lead in worship once or twice monthly. Click below for the schedule, descriptions, and leaders of the program.
