Sunday, Nov. 23rd - Sunday, Dec. 14th
Brings Gifts from Around the World.
Begin your holiday shopping at the Market on Sunday, November 23 through Sunday, December 14 in the Fellowship Hall. Working with artisans throughout the world, SERRV and Partners for Just Trade (Peru) bring you Christmas items, clothing, jewelry, as well as gifts for children and the home. By cultivating partnerships between impoverished artisans and conscientious consumers, these organizations help address the root causes of poverty through education and fair trade practices.
Stock your holiday pantry with Palestinian Olive Oil (makes a great gift with a Peruvian wine bag!), or fair trade coffee, tea, and chocolate from the Presbyterian Coffee Project (Equal Exchange). New this year will be dried fruit from the Cameroon as well as Equal Exchange nuts and cranberries. Create your own gift basket by filling a SERRV container with tasty food items for that special person!
Honor those who already have everything?
Give a symbolic gift from Heifer International , Partners for Just Trade (PJT), or a Palestinian Olive Tree.
By choosing an animal from Heifer’s broad range of gifts for any budget, a donor helps children and families around the world receive training and animal gifts leading them to self-reliance. A beautiful full color card for your gift recipient tells the story of Heifer and illustrates the animals and their benefits.
Through your gift to PJT, you can provide training and materials for Peruvian artisans to increase their income. Your gift recipient will receive a handmade descriptive greeting card from a Peruvian artisan.
Through the East Jerusalem YMCA’s “Keep Hope Alive” campaign, you can plant an olive tree in Palestine fostering peace and supporting farmers on their land.
