The Youth group, called Presbyterian Youth Connection (PYC), of the church consists of students in middle school and high school. Students come from schools all over Knox County. Current students attend West, Bearden, Farragut, Central, Austin-East, and Webb High Schools and various middle schools in those areas. First Presbyterian supports and encourages the PYC to be active participants in as much of the life and work of the church as possible. The PYC has rotating volunteers for teaching VBS, Children’s Sunday School, and Children’s Church, and occasional cooking and clean up crews for Sunday and Wednesday congregational meals. The Youth have a cooking team for the Volunteer Ministry Center and serve on several church committees.
