Believe it or not, it’s almost that time again. School will be starting August 8th! We will be helping the five third grade classes at Dogwood Elementary School again this year.
The third grade teachers are compiling a list of the specific needs for that grade level. They will purchase these items and be reimbursed by the church. There are a couple of ways we as church members can help. You can write a check to First Presbyterian noting Dogwood School on the memo line to help with the above purchases.
Or, we can supply much needed items for the classroom such as Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Lysol or Clorox wipes, ziplock bags (gallon, sandwich or snack size) and bandaids. Backpacks are always needed also. This year the Tax Free weekend is July 29, 30 and 31, which will help defray the cost.
Supplies can be placed in the large black box in the Fellowship Hall, from July 17 through Rally Day on August 15.
Thank you so much for your help and generosity in the past. It is always very much needed and appreciated, and makes a big difference in the lives of these students and teachers. For questions, please contact Paulette Anderson at gdandrs@bellsouth.net.
