Join us for dinner, worship, and fun on Wednesday evenings!

On Wednesday evenings during the school year, children, youth, and adults gather for dinner in the Fellowship Hall. This meal is prepared by one of several volunteer “cooking teams” comprised of church members. Cooking teams provide a healthy meal in a wholesome environment, an opportunity for weekly “check-in” with your neighbors in faith. Church members also help clean up and break down the tables and chairs in the Fellowship Hall. A small charge covers expenses for the meal. Adults (12yrs and older)are $7.00, Children are $3.50, with a family max of $20.00. The meal is served at 5:30 p.m. and programs for all ages begin at 6:30 p.m.

Worshipful Wednesday Night Schedule

5:30pm to 6:30pm – Congregational Dinner

6:15pm to 7:30pm – Pre-school Program

6:15pm to 7:30pm – Elementary School Programs

6:15pm to 7:30pm – Youth Program

6:30pm to 7:30pm – Adult Classes

7:30pm to 8:30pm – Chancel Choir

The programs offered on Wednesday nights run during the school year from mid August (after Rally Day) through the middle of May. The children’s programs and the adult programs are improved and routinely changed to meet the specific needs of the congregation. The goal is to try to provide quality opportunities for fellowship and Christian education for every age.

Education in our faith is a life-long endeavor, so we offer a blended mix of adult programming. Leadership for adult programming comes from church staff, outside leaders, and church members. Wednesday nights have been scheduled for the year and broken into blocks. Adult WedThe idea is to create clear start and end dates for each class or seminar so everyone knows what is happening in advance and when it is appropriate to change classes.

Kids Programs for Worshipful Wednesday

Dinner begins at 5:30pm with programs from 6:15pm to 7:30pm.

Under 3 years old: This group will play and grow in the nursery with Ms. Lauren (Nunn) as well as several other childcare workers and volunteers.

Ages 3 – 4 years old (preschool): This group will play, learn Bible stories, enjoy crafts, and learn songs/instruments to share with the congregation at special worships like the Christmas Pageant with Mr. Raymond (McCord) and Ms. Sharon (Patton) and a few other adults at times too.

Kindergarten through 2nd Graders: This group will play, learn Bible stories, have recreation, enjoy crafts and well-loved songs with Ms. Celeste (Whaley) and Ms. Jane (Armstrong).

3rd through 5th Graders: These two groups will be with Vanessa Smith, Angie McGavic and other dedicated adults while learning about a wide range of topics, including worship, the Bible, the Church and more. Activities include crafts, talking, and playing.
