Join Us for "Bottling Peace" – A Hands-On Worshipful Wednesday Event for All Ages on September 18th

God promises us peace, but sometimes big feelings—like worry, excitement, or anger—can make it hard to notice the peace already in our hearts. At this intergenerational event, we’ll create sensory jars that reflect how emotions may cloud our view of God’s peace. As we shake the jars, the swirling mix-ins will symbolize those big feelings, but as the jars settle, we’ll be reminded that God's peace is always there, waiting to be rediscovered. Together, we’ll practice a simple spiritual mantra: "Show me the peace that is in my heart, your love has been with me from the start," helping us remember that God’s love and peace are with us in every moment. This event is a fun and meaningful way to explore a spiritual practice for all ages, grounded in Jesus' promise of peace from John 14:27.

What You Will Experience at "Bottling Peace":

  • Talking about Peace and Big Feelings: We’ll explore how emotions like worry, excitement, or anger can sometimes make it difficult to feel the peace that God promises us.

  • Reading Scripture Together: We’ll reflect on Jesus' words in John 14:27, understanding that God's peace is always with us, even when big feelings arise.

  • Playing Games: Fun, engaging activities to help us learn about peace and how to find it in our daily lives.

  • Creating a Sensory Bottle Keepsake: Everyone will get to make their own sensory bottle to take home, serving as a reminder of God's peace even in moments when feelings seem overwhelming.

Who’s It For?

Bottling Peace is designed for all ages, from toddlers and Pre-K to adults. Younger participants will have plenty of help from caregivers or leaders to create their own sensory jars and enjoy the hands-on, interactive activities. Whether you're young or young at heart, this event is for anyone looking to explore peace and big feelings through a fun and meaningful experience.
