Join us on Sunday, November 24th for our third annual Hanging of the Greens celebration! After the service, enjoy a light congregational lunch and stay to help decorate our church for the Christmas season.
Hanging of the Greens is a cherished tradition that dates back to Martin Luther's ministry in the early 1500s. Luther saw evergreens—such as pine, cedar, fir, holly, and laurel—as symbols of God’s unchanging nature. He encouraged their use in homes and churches during Christmas to represent the everlasting life we have through Jesus Christ.
December 1st is the first Sunday of Advent, as we begin to wait in anticipation for Christ's birth and the joyous Christmas season. Let’s make this a season of beauty, hope, and fellowship!
