Summer Sunday School for Adults: "How the Bible Actually Works" continues June 30th at 9:45 in the James Park Room

This summer, dive into the fascinating world of the Bible with our special Sunday school series for adults, "How the Bible Actually Works." Led by renowned scholar Peter Enns and co-taught by Mark Curtis, Meredith Loftis, and Andy Morgan, this six-part video series offers a fresh and enlightening perspective on Scripture. There will be no class on June 23rd due to our annual Lakeshore Worship and picnic.

Have you ever found the Bible to be a bit peculiar? Have its contradictions and ambiguities ever left you puzzled? Join us as we explore how the Bible’s ancient words, its inherent ambiguity, and its cultural diversity can guide us toward living a life of wisdom, rather than providing simple answers.

What You Will Learn:

  • To embrace the mysterious aspects of the Bible and understand its context.

  • To adjust your expectations of what the Bible can and cannot do.

  • How the Bible's complexities can be a source of lifelong wisdom

Whether you're looking to deepen your faith, challenge your understanding, or simply curious about the Bible’s role in the modern world, this series is for you. There is a zoom option available and the link is below.
