A Path to Healing: Support Families Displaced by the California Wildfires

The devastating fires in Southern California have left families and neighborhoods in ruins—homes destroyed, lives uprooted, and futures uncertain. In this time of crisis, people of faith are called to respond with compassion and action.
One way to help is through Door of Hope, a Pasadena-based ministry providing transitional housing for eight families and case management services for 50 others. Their services foster financial stability and emotional health, helping at-risk families find and maintain their housing and regain self-sufficiency. If you’d like to support this vital work, please designate your donation as coming from “a friend of La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.” La Crescenta Presbyterian is offering a matching grant, doubling the impact of your gift.
John and Virginia Schroeder at First Presbyterian Knoxville have been longtime members of La Crescenta Presbyterian in Glendale, CA and have seen firsthand the difference Door of Hope makes. They also have close friends who lost their homes in the Eaton Fires in Los Angeles County.
