A Special Thanks from the Local Missions Committee for all your gifts to Dogwood School

Thanks to the donations of many of our members during the recent Angel Tree campaign, we were able to provide gift bags for 81 third graders at Dogwood Elementary School and their teachers. Both the students and the teachers expressed sincere appreciation for our church's generosity.

As many of you know, First Presbyterian has enjoyed a mission partnership with this local grade school for many years; which has been a blessing to hundreds of third graders and their teachers, as well to the members of our congregation who have volunteered their time and talents in supporting Dogwood's efforts to equip their students for the future challenges of life (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, assisting with events like the end of school year picnic).

The Local Missions Committee particularly appreciates the efforts of Pastor Meredith in shopping for this year's gifts and for those of you who packed the gift bags and made them ready for delivery during the recent Worshipful Wednesday Advent Event.
