Bill Eversole Stewardship Offering from Sunday, October 16

Our Mission says:

For Christ in the Heart of Knoxville, Our First Presbyterian Church seeks

  • To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

  • To nurture those within the fellowship and community of the church

  • To serve spiritual and human gifts.

I want to encourage you to demonstrate the graces of generosity and faithful stewardship of personal and financial resources.

According to Matthew 6:21 “For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also”

And from 2 Corinthians 9:6-7: "Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver."

As we begin our season of stewardship, we are called to remember our past, live our present and prepare for the future by reaffirming God’s blessings in our lives and committing anew to serving as Christ in the heart of Knoxville.

Our gifts bear witness that we are sufficiently confident of God’s promises for the future that we may freely, generously, and cheerfully give today.

•   If you are a long-time pledger, thank you very much.

•   If you are a regular giver, please consider pledging.

•   If you are new to stewardship, embrace the spiritual discipline and mechanisms of regularly giving through a pledge.

When you receive your pledge card, prayerfully consider what God is asking you to do. How does God want you to use your resources to further God’s work through First Presbyterian Church? How can your gift be an act of worship at First Presbyterian Church?

Thank you.
