Join the Baker / Taker Ministry in 2022!

Friends, for many years the Baker/Taker program has been an important ministry at First Presbyterian. In this ministry bread or some small baked good is delivered to visitors after their first visit to our church. This ministry has been well received through the years, as many who have joined the church have made special mention of this act of hospitality after becoming new members.

Unfortunately, in March of 2020 we had to suspend this ministry temporarily because of the Pandemic. The church is ready to restart the Baker / Takers and are recruiting volunteers to cook and/or deliver baked goods.

Bakers supply a baked good (homemade or bought). This can be any type of bread loaf, 6 to 8 cookies or a half dozen muffins or cupcakes about three times per year.

Takers deliver the bread to the visitor on Sunday or sometime the following week after the visitors first visit. You need only hand the bag to the visitor at the door and thank them for coming. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with visitors and new members of the First Presbyterian community!

This ministry will be led up by the Deacons and there will be more information and opportunities to sign up beginning Rally Day August 14, 2022.
