Justice Knox's Nehemiah Action Assembly a big success!

Over 1000 attended Justice Knox's annual Nehemiah Action Assembly held April 9! The focus of the gathering was on homelessness, as Lead Organizer Marjorie Thigpen-Carter asked city leaders to focus on one specific vulnerable population at a time. Finding short-term shelter and long-term housing solutions is pressing with Knoxville's stubbornly high rent and housing prices, and because of the immediate crisis of the closure of the only low-barrier shelter. More than 1,900 Knox County residents experienced homelessness in the final part of 2023, according to Justice Knox.
