Meredith Loftis will be enjoying a much-needed and well-deserved break!

Dear First Presbyterian Church, 

I am so grateful for the many wonderful years of ministry with you, and look forward to many more! I’m not going anywhere, but after nine years of ministry here, I have requested and been approved by the Session for a sabbatical starting in May. As part of my terms of call, I am able to take a sabbatical after seven years.

I’m a little late, but I am excited to take time to rest, travel, and spend time with Grayson for the summer and get him ready for kindergarten. I will officially be on sabbatical from May 5 to August 3, returning in time for Rally Day!

I will be working closely with the staff and committees to ensure that my responsibilities are covered while I am gone. I am very grateful for this opportunity and know it will help rejuvenate me for another many years of ministry with you.
