New Beginnings at FPC: Welcome Pastor Mark Curtis

After many months of prayerful work and a detailed and thorough search, the Pastor Nominating Committee joyfully announces their nomination of Reverend Mark Curtis to be the next Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church.

Mark is the current pastor of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church in South Knoxville, where he has served for the last seven years. He is a native of Northern California and attended Princeton Theological Seminary.

Mark's wife, Diana, grew up Nashville, graduated with a Master's degree from the University of Tennessee, and works as an English teacher at Webb School of Knoxville. They have two children, Daniel, who is in seventh grade at Coulter Grove Intermediate School, and Asher, a second grader at John Sevier Elementary School.

We are excited to begin this new chapter with Mark and his family, and have a called congregational meeting on Sunday, September 19th at 12:15 pm. We will hear a report from the Pastor Nominating Committee and will be voting upon the call for the Reverend Mark Curtis to become the pastor of First Presbyterian Church. You can join us in person in the sanctuary, or by Zoom. Email communications@fpcknox.org for the Zoom link.
