Provide Essentials for Refugee Families During Lent

Lent is a season of reflection and preparation, often marked by fasting, prayer, and acts of service. This year, our congregation is invited to support refugees in Knoxville by donating gift cards.

Many newly arrived refugees face financial challenges as they work to build a life in an unfamiliar place. Gift cards to Kroger, Food City, Walmart, and similar stores can help provide essential items as they navigate this transition.

Bridge Refugee Services will distribute the donated gift cards to refugees in need. To participate, you can:

  • Drop gift cards in the offering plate on Sunday

  • Bring them to the Mission Market or church office

  • Mail them to the church at 620 State Street, Knoxville, TN 37902

(Note: Gift card donations are not part of the Bridge Matching Fund Campaign.)

Your participation will offer practical assistance to our refugee neighbors during this season of Lent. Thank you for your generosity!
