PW Retreat at Montreat was a wonderful weekend to seek God in Prayer and connect with other women

The Presbyterian Women's Retreat held at Montreat over the weekend was a great success. The retreat was a wonderful opportunity for women to come together and reconnect over their shared faith and catch up on our busy lives. Special thanks goes to Moderator Liz Key for her planning and leadership, Kallee Pittenger and Linn Acree for preparing a delicious meal on Saturday night, and to everyone who helped with planning and cleanup.

The highlight of the retreat was the powerful program on prayer led by Sarah Morgan, the Associate Pastor for Congregational Life & Mission at Second Presbyterian. Attendees were taught the ACTS format of prayer (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication) and engaged in many meaningful discussions and activities that supported Sarah's teaching. Attendees also had the opportunity to hike, play, shop, and dine in Black Mountain, strengthening the strong connections found among Presbyterian Women. A big shout out to all the ladies who hiked up to Lookout Trail in the early morning hours. It was a deeply meaningful and weekend that left everyone feeling renewed and inspired.
