Congratulations Maddie Pitt!
Maddie Pitt is heading to the Nationals! She plays for Knoxville AC Alliance Soccer, who were the 2023 Tennessee state champions for 13 year olds. They advanced to the southeast regionals where they were finalists to qualify for the National Championship in Wichita Kansas. The team leaves for Wichita July 7 to compete.
“Our team is Division 2 U-13 that also plays in the girls top national league in the country...They have faced a lot of adversity this season, but getting to USYS Nationals has been a rollercoaster, with a quarterfinal win in double overtime, a semi-final win in a PK shootout after a double overtime and another PK shootout win in the State Finals.
The last time the club sent a U-13 girls team to Nationals was back in 2009", said coach Kable Nunnally.
