Mission Co-Workers Jeff and Christi Boyd to Speak Aug. 20 in the Chapel. Please join us for their presentation!

Women at a Presbyterian church in Mbuji Mayi (the capital city of Kasai region in the Democratic Republic of Congo) catch and sell rainwater to pay for school fees of foster children in their congregation

Be sure to attend a 9:45 a.m. presentation by our mission co-workers, Jeff and Christi Boyd, on Sunday, Aug. 20, in the Chapel. Jeff and Christi do world-changing work on our behalf in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Current priorities include church-based foster care for homeless children in the Kasai region, support for medical mission including the Christian Medical Institute of Kasai (IMCK), and maintenance of public schools. Some things they are likely to discuss include new programs in the Presbyterian Community of Kinshasa, where our church is expanding its work among children and adults, and efforts to aid the indigenous Batwa people and protect the endangered Congo Basin peat land known as "the lungs of the earth." The Boyds' knowledge, faith, and deep experience enable our mission dollars to save lives and aid the planet. They will speak for 45 minutes Aug. 20 during the Sunday School hour and for 2-5 minutes during 11 a.m. worship.
