Presbytery of East TN hosts worship "Reimagining Growing Old, From Age-ing to Sage-ing" on August 14th

Aging is not just something that happens to us. It is something we can choose to do well. - Author Unknown

A ‘good old age’ does not come automatically, especially in a culture that worships youth and dreads aging. Rather than viewing old age as a time of mental and physical decline and something to be feared, a growing movement envisions elderhood as a 3rd stage of life that offers older adults a unique opportunity to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

This free, online one-hour workshop will discuss this movement that views old age as a time of growth rather than decline. It will also introduce Sage-ing® concepts from the ground-breaking book: From Age-ing to Sage-ing: A Revolutionary Approach to Growing Older by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. These Sage- ing® concepts provide a roadmap for living the remaining years of life as meaningfully as possible.
