The last Worshipful Wednesday study Outside the Box: a study of Hesed and Redemption in the Book of Ruth continues on February 7

Class Title: Outside the Box: a study of Hesed and Redemption in the Book of Ruth

Duration: 5 weeks: January 10 - February 7

Teacher: Andy Morgan

Description:

What does one act of "out of the box" kindness have the power to transform? As we will see in this 5-week study on the Book of Ruth, hesed (an incredibly rich Hebrew word and Biblical concept that means non-obligatory kindness) has the power to reshape and even redeem relationships, spiritual desolation, and even the trajectory of groups of people. This study will introduce the concept of hesed and how Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz share and respond to it. Using four guiding questions, we will begin to recognize and respond to opportunities for us to share and respond to hesed in our own lives, deepening our relationship with God and empowering us to love God's world more fully. We look forward to this wonderful study and time of growth together.

In addition to our in-person (and Zoom) gatherings, there are articles, songs, and reflection questions as well as opportunity for further conversation available in our Google Classroom that can be accessed by using the link below.
