Background Checks Required for Children and Youth Volunteers

In order to keep First Presbyterian Church Knoxville a safe and healthy place for our children and youth to learn and grow in their spiritual lives, we are requiring periodic background checks of all volunteers and teachers. Alex McGavic has copies of the necessary forms for each of you to fill out, and you can contact him at alex@fpcknox.org. You may drop them off at the church office or fill them out and return to Alex personally. For your privacy, please don’t email the forms; they will have all your personal information on them.

After the background check is initiated, you will receive a link to watch a video and complete a short quiz on child safety. The link expires after 14 days, so please watch the video promptly so that these background checks can be completed. There is no need to contact Alex or Jane after you have finished the video and quiz. Thank you for volunteering with our youth and children's ministry.
