Be sure to save Saturday, May 6, for the annual Spring Gathering. And read about 50 East Tennessee residents from 11 churches who traveled together to visit civil rights landmarks in Alabama to honor Black History Month. Organized by lay pastors Doris Thomas of Emmanuel Presbyterian and Barbara Adamcik of Westminster Presbyterian and the Rev. Ann Owens Brunger, the group visited civil rights memorials in Tuskegee, Montgomery and Selma Feb. 24-27.
