Congo Mission Network Hosts Conference in March
The PC (USA) affiliated Congo Mission Network will host an annual conference on March 14-16, 2024, at the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery Conference Center in Charleston, S.C. All are welcome.
Theme of the 2024 conference is “Education for Transformation: Equipping Congolese Youth for the Future.” Registration will soon be available at http://congopartners.org.
The Rev. Zacharie Kabala Mboyamba of Kananga will be the keynote speaker. The legal representative of Presbyterian Community of Congo (CPC) and and director of the Department of Mission and the Life of the Church, he is well known for his skill in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Support and education for youth and young adults in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the median age is 16.7 and unemployment is high, are stated priorities of conference planners from both the DRC and U.S. They have spotlighted improving employment opportunities, public schools, leadership and entrepreneurship training, technical education, and public health measures for youth and young adults as desired goals.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the primary focus of Global Missions at our church. You can attend the conference virtually or in person.
