Congrats to Kelly Norrell for a succesful book signing at Union Ave Books!

There was a good crowd at Union Ave books on Saturday to purchase Kelly's new book, East Tennessee Garden Stories, developed with Howling Hills Publishing. She supplied many of the beautiful photos and was on a team that developed this project for over five years. You can purchase the book at the link below, or at Union Ave Books. See the description of the book below. Yay, Kelly!

East Tennessee Garden Stories: Sharing Knowledge, Celebrating Heritage, and Building Community is a book about people, their love of gardening, and what we can learn from them. Here’s just a few of the stories:

  • A minister who gave up the pulpit to serve the community with an urban farm

  • A poet whose garden is her greatest teacher

  • A rescue squad on a mission to save native plants

  • A garden historian and a group of students preserving antebellum crops

A master gardener who goes beyond the typical hosta and ferns of woodland gardens, growing magical ephemerals like trillium

East Tennessee Garden Stories: Sharing Knowledge, Celebrating Heritage, and Building Community is a beautifully designed, large format book (8.5x11) that includes 150 vivid color photos and tips on things like ditching your lawn for a garden, building soil, turning discarded windows into a greenhouse, and more. Most of all, it’s like visiting with friends who like to swap garden stories.

Purchase at Union Ave Books in downtown Knoxville or at the link below.
