Don Cassell and the New Dismembered Tennesseans celebrated Neighbor Day at St. James this Week with an Outstanding Concert!

First Presbyterian had a good turnout this week at Neighbor Day, a wonderful event dedicated to celebrating and supporting the work by St. James Episcopal Church in their neighborhood outreach efforts. St. James tirelessly provides essential resources such as food, clothing, shelter, and transportation to their downtown neighbors.

At the event, renowned musicians The Dismembered Tennesseans treated us to a fantastic performance, delivering one beautiful bluegrass tune after another. Among the favorites was "Sarah's Waltz," a song penned by Don Cassell for his wife Sarah some years ago. We all gathered outdoors and ate delicious chili, provided by the new Potluck Cafe on Broadway (definitely worth a visit!), while enjoying the music of The Dismembered Tennesseans. The event's sound engineering was skillfully handled by our own Paul Seguna.
