Pentecost Offering Aids Foster Children in Congo

Foster children and their Presbyterian foster parents in Congo. Our church supports this program.

The Pentecost Offering, one of four nationwide offerings of the Presbyterian Church (USA) each year, was taken at our church this Sunday, May 19. The Pentecost offering is used to encourage, develop, and support youth and address the needs of at-risk children around the world. Local congregations retain 40% of this offering. Our church will use its portion to support the Congo Orphans and Vulnerable Children foster care program run by the Presbyterian Community of Congo. This program pays for hundreds of homeless children in the Kasai region of Congo to live with church families instead of on the street or in orphanages. Our contribution will pay for food, clothing and school supplies so the children can attend school and thrive. Please give!
