Presbyterian Women Enjoy Banquet May 9
Life Membership Awards, updates on the fall PW Women’s Retreat, and a wonderful Bible lesson by Rachel Patton McCord were features of the 2023 Presbyterian Women Annual Dinner May 9. About 50 women from our five circles attended the event that was emceed by Moderator Jenny Bryan.
Jenny Bryan, Kallee Pittenger, and Victor Lenoir were announced winners of the Life Membership Awards, which recognize exceptional service to PW and the church. Each received a sterling silver pin and certificate from the Presbyterian Church (USA). Also honored at the event were Presbyterian women who passed away in the last year. They are: Alice Carmichael Sarver, Alice R. Xiques, Betty Frierson, Julia Pulliam, Mary Adair Horde, Patsy McClure, Patricia Acuff, and Sharon Tarn. Becky Dwarshius offered the opening and closing prayers.
