Presbyterian Women's Retreat Brings Peace and Reflection at Montreat

The Presbyterian Women's retreat last weekend at beautiful Montreat College in Western North Carolina was a wonderful time of reflection, peace and unity. Rev. Rachel Penmore, Campus Minister at UKirk and our own Rev. Meredith Loftis led a thoughtful reflection on the story of Mary and Martha from Luke 10, exploring the balance between action and contemplation, busyness and stillness. Attendees expressed their reflections through artwork, using different colors to represent various aspects of God while unpacking their own stories and seeking peace in the midst of life’s busyness. The unique creations were proudly displayed in the photo above.

The retreat was a cherished time of rest, fellowship, hiking, and fellowship. A heartfelt thanks goes to PW Moderator Liz Key, Rev. Rachel Penmore, Rev. Dr. Meredith Loftis, and all the volunteers and attendees who made this retreat so special.
