The Flower Guild Enjoys a Joyful and Memorable Day at Bear Creek Farm in Kingsport

The Flower Guild enjoyed a wonderful day at Bear Creek Farm in Kingsport, TN, last Saturday. Bear Creek Farm, a small-batch flower and pumpkin farm owned by Lisa and Bob Rogers—brother and sister-in-law of FPC member Malcolm Rogers—welcomed the group as they gathered early Saturday morning to harvest beautiful bouquets filled with dahlias, peonies, hydrangeas, and more. These vibrant blooms were used to brighten the lives of friends in the congregation, create the Sunday service arrangement, and adorn the memorial service of Sarah Searle on Tuesday.

The day was filled with joy and fellowship as Flower Guild members bonded with the Rogers family over a delicious picnic lunch. Afterward, they explored the farm's bee hives, learning about beekeeping and even harvesting their own jars of honey. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation, the Flower Guild cherished the opportunity to gather flowers, deepen friendships, and share in a truly special experience. As one member described it, “It was a Holy and Magical Day.”
