Speed Limit Reduction - Please lower your speed on Knoxville downtown and neighborhood streets

The speed limit on some Knoxville streets will soon be changing! City Council approved a measure that means starting July 1st, 25 miles per hour will be the new speed limit on all unmarked neighborhood roads. (That means streets with no posted speed limit sign.) This is a 5 mph reduction, which may sound small, but research shows it can significantly reduce serious injuries and fatalities.
