The Bridge Refugee Sewing Classes Need Volunteers

The Bridge Refugee Services sewing classes are meeting soon and would love your help. They need people to be floaters and help in the classes and people who will provide childcare. Sewing experience is not necessary! These classes provide an opportunity for refugees to learn valuable skills and empower themselves through the art of sewing. By volunteering your time and expertise, you can help create a welcoming and inclusive community while making a positive impact on the lives of those who have been displaced. Together, we can show the love of God to our neighbors and "sew" the seeds of hope and resilience!

The classes start on February 10th and are biweekly. They are from 10am-12pm. Any interested volunteers can contact either Kayla (kdavis@bridgerefugees.org) or Peter (pgreen@bridgerefugees.org). Please get in touch with Kayla or Peter to join.

If you would like to volunteer to provide childcare for Bridge, please contact Jane Holland at (865) 546-2531 or jane@fpcknox.org to complete a background check. (If you already have completed a background check with the church, you do not need to do so again.)
