Check out the "Turnip Roots" - Fun Updates about the History of our Church!

Group from First Presbyterian Knoxville, 1920

The history of our 230 year-old church holds great importance, serving as a valuable lens through which we can examine the evolution of our culture and heritage in Knoxville, the faithfulness of God as "Jehovah-Jireh," and the enduring influence of faith on our community. Our sacred home is not just a place of worship but a living record of our spiritual and cultural past.

Our story connects us with our past, builds our faith in God, and offers a sense of belonging to a larger historical narrative. It is our responsibility to cherish and protect these stories for future generations, ensuring that the lessons they hold continue to guide us and enrich our lives.

There are several members in our congregation who are faithful to preserving these stories and historical records of our church. In addition to the history section on our website, please check out the "Turnip Roots" that were recently submitted by one of our history buffs!
