Flower Guild offers Custom Silk Scarf for purchase for Lenten Season

This Lenten Season the Flower Guild is offering luxurious silk scarves created by Knoxville native, artist Ruthie Windsor Mann.

This Lenten Season the Flower Guild is offering luxurious silk scarves created by Knoxville native, artist Ruthie Windsor Mann. The 42" square 100% silk scarves honor our rich church history with original watercolor inspired turnip motifs. When the Guild first approached Mann with the project she found our history originating with James White and his turnip patch to be a "lovely story."

In her blog, Mann states she often sketches while listening, which she did while at a symposium on art and architecture at Mount Vernon. The symposium "proved to be an ideal situation to come up with a design for the turnip scarf."

The scarf is on display in the Mission Market glass cabinets in the Commons. Limited numbers of the scarves are available for purchase through online giving or by contacting the Flower Guild. Your purchase of $80.00 will benefit the Flower Guild ministry.
