Youth & Children's Event Calendar

Mary Virginia Bohner, one of our youth members, performed at the Bijou Theater last weekend in "In the Shadows of Pine Mountain: The Scotch-Irish Exodus from Ulster to Appalachia", performed by GO! Contemporary Dance Works. She was pleased to have many from our church family there, including her elder confirmation partner, Jane Luhn, as well as Carolyn Noey, Jenny Eversole, Ginny Morrow, her grandmother Sherry Corden, Rachel Trentham and others.

There are several staff members and parents who are coming together to develop a calendar of events for children and youth who have important upcoming sporting events, extracurricular activities, recitals, special interests, etc.

Many studies show the vital importance of having adult involvement and support outside the immediate family in the lives of children and young adults. One of the ways we can support the younger members of our community is to develop a strong presence in their lives not only at church but at the places where they spend their time and share their gifts, knowledge, and talent.
