Join Us for a Shower to Support Meredith Loftis in Caring for Children in Foster Care

From Associate Pastor Meredith Loftis:

It’s with joy and excitement that I share with you that I have become a licensed foster parent! This is something that has been on my heart for a long time and one of the biggest reasons I feel like I can pursue this is because of the strong and loving church family I have around me. Children have always been a great joy for me and I hope to be able to help those in foster care that need loving homes.

I expect to open my home to a child between the ages of 0-12 needing long-term placements starting in late February or early March. Often children in foster care have expressed great trauma, so I appreciate all the love and support you will offer. Please feel free to ask me questions! This will be a big, and often challenging, new experience for me, so I certainly appreciate your prayers.

With gratitude and love, Pastor Meredith

From the First Presbyterian Staff:

Meredith will need resources to care for, house and nurture a child in her home. The Staff is coming together to host a brief shower after church on February 27th. Meredith does not yet know the ages or specific needs of the child she will care for, and so requests Gift cards from Wal-Mart, Target or Amazon. Please join us for treats and a joyful celebration and your gift or blessing for Meredith on February 27th.
