Presbyterian Church of Congo Saves Homeless Children

The Presbyterian Church of Congo (CPC)is doing lifesaving work to protect homeless children in the Kasai region, with the help of our church. The Rev. Marcel Tshibemba, the Legal Representative of CPC in East Kasai, describes its ministries here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhIxGOtAQng&t=196s

Today an alarming number of children in Congo are being abandoned to the streets. CPC and other grassroots ministries are caring for children via feeding centers, Presbyterian children's homes, and most recently, Presbyterian foster families supported by their churches.

The ministries also seek to find the children's biological families and reunite them. This segment is part of the recent Congo Mission Network session, "Local Communities, Agents of Social Transformation." This aid program is part of our Global Missions budget.
